old ELO-Rating Script

Hey there,

I made an ELO-Rating Script, which you can use on your server to have a better rating system as the normal one.

Features:
• Save & Load ELO-Stats
• Ranks (from Amateur to Ultimate Grandmaster) with message output
• "stats"-say command to show your ELO to others.
• Serveraction to reset your ELO. (1200 Basic)

Not included yet:
• (Maybe) your feature
• More say commands
• Pokémons.

You need to create a folder called "elo" in your /sys/lua/ directory.

I hope you like my little piece of work. If you have any suggestion what to add to it, just tell me in the comments.

Edit: The first four screens are from the testing phase. You cannot see your rank there.

Edit Nr2: When you're using this script on Linux, care that your "elo" folder has 777 rights, so CS2D.exe can save files in there

- This, so called chat-spam has been fixed by simply using a outfading hudtxt!
- Fixed a bug which caused you losing and gaining the same amount of elo by self-kill!

Nonononono--you misunderstood. Saving the ELO on death is bad. Since you only need it to save on quit. You actually don't even need it on death.

If a player were to die constantly your server will eventually lag out to your other clients.

If by more features means advantages--I disregard it. ELO shows how pro you are by your k/d ratio. However if it were to give you advantages the only pro-ness people will see---well is of course the cheap side.

ELO also saves on death. Currently I'm working on some more features.

on the first look i have to say that this mod gives out too many messages!
why dont you use one hudtext with some sort of blinkign effect when gaining or losing points and adding a "+5" after it for example.
do this and you´ll get the 5/5

you know, ELO is meant to be a serious rating system. watch it up here. It's used for tournaments, ladder etc.
