There are some minor changes and new features as well.

- Most dates don't display seconds anymore to save space
- Some table headers use abbreviations now (also to save space), hovering reveals the full text
- Shortened most texts to make it less cluttered
- Some spam cooldowns and limitations are slightly less annoying now (lower cooldowns / higher limits)
- Screenshots can now have an upload size of up to 5 mb (was 3 mb) and are only compressed when larger than 300 kb (was 200 kb)
- Avatar images can now have an upload size of up to 5 mb (was 1 mb) and are only compressed when larger than 30 kb (was 20 kb)
- More automatic attempts to find optimal screenshot and avatar compression (should result in better looking compressed images)
- Discord is now linked on the website
- You can now provide more contact details / social media links in your profile (e.g. Instagram, tiktok, LinkedIn, GitHub...)
- You can now forward PMs (which is equal to quote/reply but doesn't pre-fill the target user and adds "Fwd: " instead of "Re: " to the title)
- File archive contents: You now also see the compressed/uncompressed total size and the average compression of all files
- Improved usability of "mark as unread from..." by using HTML5 datetime picker and extra +/- buttons
- Now using my own CAPTCHA solution due to GDPR. Also added audio reading support (audio files & generation code from here. Thanks fellow Peter!).
- Stats page has more details and the old live Flash stats have been replaced with a JavaScript solution
- Improved, more slim "tag pad" (the thing that contains smileys and tags). Now above text area instead of left to it.
- Tabbing when writing/editing posts now skips all tag pad elements.
- many other small things

Backend
I invested a lot of time cleaning up and refactoring my old PHP code. I made things follow the PSR-12 coding style.
Also reduced code nesting a lot (nice video about that), split some bigger files into multiple ones and introduced more methods for features which are used in multiple places (DRY).
The SQL database structure is still the same. I had plans to optimize it as well but I don't think it's worth my time right now.

Frontend
Since modern browsers have great JavaScript APIs I decided to remove jQuery entirely. I'm only using vanilla JavaScript now. The benefit of this is that browsers have to download, parse and run less JavaScript.
I implemented my own super basic and leightweight animation tweening library as a replacement for jQuery animation methods.
I'm also using nearly no images for the website style anymore. Instead I'm using a lot of CSS features like gradients and rounded borders. CSS animations are used as well.
Moreover I'm no longer using the XHTML standard anymore. XHTML is nice because it's more strict than HTML (thus enforcing cleaner HTML) but the downside is that it also forces you to use closing slashes for ALL tags. e.g. "<br />" instead of just "<br>". This adds extra useless characters to HTML pages. I don't want those anymore so: Gooodbye XHTML!

Nobody cares about the website! Can't you work on Stranded III or CS2D instead?

Edit 2: Also love the choice of themes! A slight shame pink one no longer comes with its own background, but great to see such a big choice!

Edit 3: No idea why, but for some reason the "prev" and "next" buttons on the image gallery on that one weapon pack I once made for a now 12-year-old version of CS2D, Hador's complete Weaponpack - final version (47), isn't working, even though it seems to work everywhere else.

Having spent a bit more time on the site now, I'm definitely missing the easily-accessible search function (unless the forum has changed much, I'm sure it should be accessible from the top bar?)

Also, Chingy, I would like to point out that What is your favorite shit colour? was a very important piece of research and gives us all great insight into the bs DC had to deal with daily in the past

- If I press the "U" in the top left corner of the website, I do not get redirected onto the main website. My browser doesnt show any URL either (to indicate that I will get redirected).
- Same goes for the user profile when clicking onto my icon in the top right

- The main bar at the top shows "Games, Com". It is very empty: why not show the full word "Community"? Since it is so empty anyway, Id like to have the Forum and File Archive to be in the main bar.

- Same emptyness problem goes with users (Why show "Reg" and "C" when there is so much space)

- Code inline does not work properly in the preview. ,

Mr. Brightside setting visual problems
Could be just me... but:
- When using cmd tags (like ) the highlight box (that shows you all available cmds) is a bit too transparent
- HTTP links in the user signature do not get highlighted enough
- ADDED FIXED tags are unreadable
