I really thought it was driven with Flash, since that Map Transfer had like a Flash symbol that I found related to Flash... and it looked so flashy in that video, I just knew it was Flash. But thanks for correcting me, and hey I have a request.
CS2D Max should be driven with SDL, since I can't play CS2D with DirectX.
My graphic card doesn't allow me to play CS2D since my 3D graphics driver is down or something, and I know I got a computer at home which can play it. But what if you had SDL... SDL sounds kinda neat, and I would like you to use that feature in CS2D Max, as a ... uhm like a SDL version and a DirectX version. Would be so good, and then I could play again.
If I heard right, SDL is run strictly by the computer and not the graphics card... if I'm sure... I'm not sure at all. :S
And what is with OpenGL, BMax works with OpenGL and DirectX. I Think DC make a method to change the "Graphicsdriver".
however: yes. cs2dmax supports opengl and directx as k.o.g. said and you will be able to select what you want to use. at least one of both should run since these are the two most used systems.
But I'll never forget de_dust
we'll have a better one...

.. It is pwnage alright but it got its disatvantages, it will encourage people to use the map editor and people will come up with great maps for others to play with, and de_dust and other famous oldschool maps will slowly fade away untill nobody plays de_Dust anymore.. And then we realise we destroyed our awesome old CS2D memories we had.. Some people will make dumb maps so others join and download their maps for nothing and then leave, so people will enter servers and see if they like the map if not, then they leave.. But afcourse there will be awesome maps made by awesome people..

Not entirely true this only applies for really good custom maps. If you know what I mean.

And that's what I'm talking about, the map transfer system will encourage players to make good maps to play directly with others! So I'm pretty sure that majority of players will make very good maps which will be played over and over again, and slowly the old maps will fade away. Probably alot of people will make remakes of de_dust removing stuff or adding stuff.
I'm sure i'm going to delete the camping tunnel below terrorist spawn, and call it de_dustnocamp or something. Anyway back to the point, the default old maps will fade away as people more maps themselfs.

I think you just got the whole thing wrong: I'm currently developing the game itself and I'm NOT mapping atm. I did NOT create new cs_ maps but I did the programming stuff so that (already existing) cs_ maps and hostages work
as_ = done
cs_ = done
de_ = in progress...
the maps is our part, he is only programing THE GAME...

Servers can now kick and ban players. This can be done with script commands or the new handy kick/ban-menu. Players can be banned by IP, their name, or their U.S.G.N. account id (if they have one). Furthermore all bans will now be saved in a file so they stay active until you delete them (which can also be done in the kick/ban-menu).
