On a completely unrelated note : It's good if you are starting with modelling.
In case that doesen't help , i guess it is something from your video/graphic card drivers.

1. Unfortunately there are a lot of problems in many drivers. This is especially true for Inter grpahics chips but can happen with other manufacturers. If it's not working for you, the first thing to do is see if there is a newer driver for your graphics card. Quite a few people have reported that a newer driver has fixed their Vista problems.
^ ^ ^. Check your drivers and see if there is a new one or (in the worst case) try running it in Administrator account.
And yeah, he said it would run good on Vista by default.

EDIT#2:
I readed the thread again and it MUCH sounds like a driver problem, just as the one i told you about, that i couldn't rotate in a map editor...sounds some type of that issue...if you are with ATI , i heard they had some problems or whatever with 3D views...
Especially if you are with old video card.

EDIT#3:
If you can, try recording it so i can see exactly what happens.
i dont have a camera so ill just describe it. most of the time when i run the program the image is blank. the tools are there but i dont see anything.
(edit)
i have a new problem but its not as severe but the first problem still exists. how to i make a screen shot for the 3d image i make? i have the program that i can add texture to it but i dont know how to make a screen shot. i cannot texture it without a screen shot.

And if you want to add a texture, you have to save the whole model ...

I have the same problem I'm not sure if it is compatible with vista
Then why not visiting and asking on their official forums.
