Isn't the flashligh just a sprite?
If so, it doesn't light dark zones, it just draws a white sprite over them.
Your are right, but image with light mode, it help sometimes.
However you can disable that feature on my mod...

If I use a small lamp that only from counter-strike source - that that without batteries.
With a battery for me it is difficult enough and blazzingxx will take offence still that I at it have stolen a script
