ok what about an iron maiden made of glass where you put the spikes in by yourself... so you can see your victim and you kill it yourself. (and you can put in one spike after the other, so the death is slow and painfull )

No, it would be much worst if there was no bottom, so you would just keep falling, and eventually starve, or get a heart attack.
