first Stranded (SI)?Well, it's graphics aren't as good as Stranded II (SII), but it isn't that old... well, you can at least give it a try if you didn't yet.
And if you're going, take a look at this thread. Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament both run on very low specs (I had UT running fast and smooth, albeit low detail, on a PIII 700MHz, 128MB Ram and 32MB gfx card) and they still provide the level of excitement that they did when they first entered the market. If you haven't the money to buy these, there are other free alternatives (some better than the original games) and Quake III Arena can be played online through your browser for free at http://www.quakelive.com/.

You could try Wolfenstein 3D, it isn't 3D, but it's made using raycasting like Doom.
There is also a game called Little Big Adventure 2, I used to play that game when I was like 7

@Psytechnic: There is also OpenArena, an open source version of Q3 + the Graphic Engine of quake 3 was released under the GPL license (as idsoftware uses to do :P)
Aye, I know. Both Nexuis and Alien Arena are built on the open source Q3 engine and both games are open source themselves. Nexuis has a really nice single player mode that in my opinion, can rival that of the original Q3, so I really suggest any FPS fan try it out.
