As of late the german forums have been hardly posted on with about 3-4 people doing all the posting over the last couple months. What happened? I thought Stranded II was big in the german section everybody would be working on mods. Now there are only a couple german mods in progress.

Perhaps the economy. People are probably trying to work more and dont have time to make mods. But why it would happen mostly in German I dont know.

Well, Stranded 2 itself is getting old.
Yes, Stranded (2) was more popular in the German section than it was in the English one, but making a mod takes a lot of time, and most people don't have it. I don't think that's a German problem though.

You can see that by the numbers of mods that were started but soon after that no one wanted to continue anymore, mainly because of lacking motivation.

I myself was working on a mod some years ago, when Stranded 2 was just new. But soon I noticed that for what I had in mind, the scripting was too restricted and that I alone couldn't do it anyway plus I was not really experienced with the scripting (though, with programming).

Guess many of the guys who started mods know that feeling.
But as you're asking, why don't you make a mod by yourself?

I still work on my custom mod. However I dont publish it because I take bits and pieces from all sorts of other mods and I don't remember where everything came from so I cannot properly ask permission.

That and I am not too good with scripts.
