If you get the black terrain DO NOT SAVE or it'll wreck the savegame. Quit the game and reopen. (It helps to save frequently.)

One little problem -- there's not an Intel graphic chip in my machine. It's all AMD and NVIDIA.

Another fix would be to reset the terrain color manually. To do this type "dm" in the console (open with circumflex... the key above 'tab' and under 'escape'). Then click on "enter script" or something like that and type

Certainly not! Im too afraid of overheating to use a laptop for anything more intense than solitaire (lol).
Heres the specs. You can ignore the VirtualBox stuff -- that's just a Linux VM I use for something else.
