I did search for same tutorials to avoid double posting, the most suitable one was thread us How to upload images on usgn threads?, however user DC hasn't posted direct tutorial to it. So I have written a small tutorial to users who don't know it. If you've already seen any tutorial of it before, please inform me, I will delete this immediately.

This tutorial works for both file archive and forum.

Let's get started
Firstly, get your image be ready, for example I want to upload my favourite Misaka Mikoto...
IMG:https://i.imgbox.com/y1wpSCGH.png

What you should do is to find a decent image hosting service provider, they will be listed below. These are just few examples, there are many free image hosting providers.

This time I use imgbox as example.

Select your files and upload them...

When the upload is done, it will give you multiple types of links to you, use DIRECT LINK or HOTLINK.
IMG:https://i.imgbox.com/4yKfvOkd.png

Now come back to posting page, paste the image url and select the url, click IMG:https://i.imgbox.com/1W6h4EeN.png
and the system will write syntax for you.

It's easy right? How about if I want to host my image on my own web server?

Well, if you know how to buy a web server I think you should know that... anyway I will teach you here.

===

Connect to your web server, by any means that can let you access to the file directory, I prefer using FTP.

Upload your image and copy the url.(I changed the localization to let you see)
IMG:https://i.imgbox.com/rn5WWyJR.png

Now come back to posting page, paste the image url and select the url, click IMG:https://i.imgbox.com/1W6h4EeN.png
and the system will write syntax for you.

The tutorial ends here. If you find this tutorial useful, feel free to give me a √ . If you think there should have been improvements, please comment below. Thanks for reading this tutorial anyway.

The tutorial itself looks somewhat useful although I don't see that's so hard to post an Image in this forum but whatever.

What I would like to point is this...

Now come back to USGN

You could say "Now come back to Unreal Software or US forum" (is your wish if you want to say Unreal Software or US) instead of USGN because U.S.G.N. and US forum differ, even if they're related somehow.

I think it's funny how you ignored my comment in that old thread:
user DC has written
• The community here is actually called Unreal Software. U.S.G.N. is just the gaming network of Unreal Software which offers stuff like serverlists. So "Unreal Software Threads" would be a better term than "USGN Threads"

Also here is a very fancy addition if you want to share screenshots/stuff from your clipboard. Super easy to use:

Fuck no, just use http://imgur.com/
It's very simple and straight-forward with little to no ads.
Anything else is messy.

Also, slightly related; you little cunts should stop using shit file hosts like MediaFire and 4shared that make you wait several seconds or fill your screen with ads.
http://mega.nz/ is very simple and efficient.

@user J192: Imgur turns everything that isn't transparent and animated into a low quality jpeg. That's stupid. Imgur is stupid. For screenshots I prefer Screencloud. Makes you able to crop and edit screenshots and upload them, then it puts the link into the clipboard so you can paste it, just like that, all within a few seconds. Very handy, and it's always a nice and clean png.

@user Seekay: Huh, didn't really notice that. I mostly just use it for small or transparent images and not really for screenshots.
Though, there is an option for disabling that if you have an account, IIRC.
Screencloud does sound like a good and simple site, thanks for that.

@user Black Wolf: TinyPic? That's the worst host you could probably use.
It deletes pictures even if they are viewed everyday and compresses like crap.
No.

In my own opinion, I do think there are 3 best hosts, ther are respectively imgbox.com, postimg.org and bild.me. I often use the first two. I discovered the third one whenI first tried SRware Iron. Bild.me is simple and easy to use though.

For the sake of hosting images with best quality, use web servers is the best choice.

user Talented Doge You think that using a webserver is a good idea? Then you've never encountered "Server not found" errors due to the age of Internet. A few years may not sound much but you'll eventually stop hosting/renting your own server and all those links will just die. I'd recommend using imgur.com as it won't go offline in the near future and even then (I think) they will be crowd-funded just to be kept alive.
Regarding own servers: yes, there're projects like archive.org but it's still better just not to lose your files.

@user Talented Doge: If you want high quality .PNG or .GIF images that almost never get removed, then use Imgur.
If you want high quality screenshots, then use what user DC or user Seekay said.

Imgur compresses large images that are non-transparent, such as screenshots and camera photos.
If you really want to put your screenshots in Imgur, then make an account and disable the compression option. It's completely free.

Still, I'd recommend those other sites for screenshots since it's simpler and less time-consuming.
