According to the Counter-Strike 2D website, we have two (2) options to choose where to download the game from: either from Uploaded.to or from Unrealsoftware.de, now my point is that some of the users find Uploaded.to an unreliable download site as in some cases the file won't download at all or freeze, it also either could be their internet connection or the website having too much traffic but also happens on fine or fast internet connections.

I'm not demanding for a change of download sites but for most users - Uploaded.to works like a charm but for some nah so we're forced to download from Unrealsoftware.de and another annoying issue is that when downloading from the main website, we are unable to navigate on the website as the browsing speed heavily decreases due to the download so why not we change the optional download site to something more like Mediafire, Solidfiles or MEGA?

MF and MG are both good sites. Onedrive(Microsoft) and Google Drive are good choices too. Userscloud is a new one, seems to be reliable enough.

I consider that Uploaded.to doesn't work even for me too. I downloaded from this site like several times for test and seems it just doesn't work. I usually download either the CS2D Setup or the CS2D zip archive from the main website (UnrealSoftware.de) and I never had issues with it.

As for the issue regard the browser speed net that's decreasing dramatically while downloading, is a commonly problem to those who have bad net/ISP.

Mediafire and Mega are good, but I'd choose rather the Mega than Mediafire, simply because of shitty ads. That's my preference anyway.

I use P2P file transfer because there is no loss on a file, and pretty good too. Nothing illegal. I'm just using it for mods that have fuckedup big file sizes, thats all.

I think the best solution is to either use zippyshare, dropbox or google drive as they are pretty light and provide a decent download speed. MEGA is blazing fast but it can slow down the browser. Same applies to Mediafire. I remember having the entire system lagging when rendering mediafire pages on my low end machine.

Also, I use Ghostery and Adguard for my extensions. Adguard uses less power than uBlock and any ad-blocking extensions.
