Holy fucking dude, that's not how you write a proper description for your topic. /ZxC M4A1 does more damage, you can see that in the Buy Menu
Edit: I'm wrong, both do the same damage, only the AK47 is cheaper, probably because the M4A1 has a silencer Well, if I feel tactical I will prefer a suppressed M4A1, if I feel "soviet" and "slavic" the Kalashnikov rifle will be my best bet.

Emy55: The M4A1 has silencer which doesn't trigger the damage indicator when hitting the enemy. On the other hand, AK-47 has less accuracy.
However, the main thing of a one being more expensive than the other one is Terrorists' job is harder than Counter-Terrorists'. So the game ensures the equality by making the cost of weapons of who got hard job cheaper. Of course, this can be changed by seeing what map objective is. And in the addition you may change damage of weapons if you don't like such balance. Also if you have good aim ak-47 will be fine for you too.
