Yeah, it's an Ubuntu and I installed KDE later. If you are at my PC you see that I'm still using many GTK-Programs. And GNOME is also still there.
I downloaded the Xubuntu image bracause I've tried to set up a graphical interface on a really old PC (133MHz ^^), but it didn't ork because the CD drive doesn't know either the self-burned CD or the boot thingy on it. I haven't tested what of these possibilities it was because I had to return the computer to the person who allowed me to try testing. Anyway, I'm still seeding the image on BitTorrent.
To Java: Next year I will learn Java at school and I wanted to test it to get an advantage during this year, we will use BlueJ therefore I'm using it too
Now I stopped working on Java because I now feel ready for the easy tasks we will get (I've already looked in the book ^^)
