And that's one of the reasons why I want those awesome maps made by the CS2D community to be default when you download CS2D Max.

If they won't be in CS2D Max, they no worries, as I have these maps and I'm an active CS2D player, I will surely be playing these maps in CS2D Max and people will join and download, making the maps more famous and famous then they ever were.

Trust me, some maps are just so awesome they would be as epic and famous as de_dust. Nobody plays those maps because they don't care of downloading it.
Take cs_druglab_2007 as example, that's just a map you can see the owner has spend so much time on, probably days to finish such a good map.. It's very awesome, and I can just imagine it in the future being played everyday just like how de_dust is being played everyday. Trust me, some maps are just so awesome that are never being played, because they don't bother downloading those maps.

the recoil thing is movement/animation. you can't see it on screens
well okay.. you see a flashy light thing on impact too but I don't think its worth a screen

Have you checked out de_airstrip? Search it on FPSBanana, it's awesome.
By the way, congratulations on de_dust_wad, I like it and in my opinion its the best map you've made and published. I hope de_dust_wad would be called de_dust in CS2D Max, as de_dust_wad looks more realistic then de_dust, and it looks closer to the de_dust in the real CS. de_dust in CS2D now could be called de_dust_classic in CS2D Max, for those who still want to play the ol' classic de_dust.

Thumbs up for that map man!

Also, DC, this doesn't only count for maps.
There are also some very good and realistic player and weapon skins out there. You could use them for CS2D Max too.

Also, about de_dust_wad,
I think its a great map but the map doesn't really fit with the players.. I mean the player skin just looks very cartoonish on a very good and realistic map, so a more realistic player skin and perhaps weapon skin would look great combined with de_dust_wad.

I actually made de_dust_wad some year ago. So I don't know why everyone congratulate me, lol.

And I think de_dust_wad still needs some improvements, although it's almost picture perfect for CS2D max. I'd like if the map awp_desert could get in. Since me and |jUSTiN| made it in a collaboration.

I don't think many maps are needed at CS2D max, since there will be the so called map transfer.

But perhaps one or two maps could get in.

Are you fucking serious? 2 maps?
I'd say about 10 seriously good maps such as cs_druglab_2007 and de_dust_wad and de_airstrip and de_prodigy_jw. The rest can be downloaded and shared throughout the maptransfer system.

the cs2d max download will not be bigger than 10 mb. I'll not add maps wich need too many images/sounds or have a huge tileset. please keep that in mind.

I have to care about the size because the download causes a huge amount of traffic (which costs money). Furthermore I want that even people with slow connections can download the game in a short time.

So I'll only include the best maps with a good relation of filesize and quality!

If someone wants to remove the lasers and flamethrowers out of any of my maps it's fine with me. But I'm not doing it.

Because I have a laggy computer, I find it insulting to be asked to do the dirty work on a laggy PC...

I played on the server "cs2d.rox DM@Laser" and got serious lagg.
I saw a "bomb" with the working title "knife", it couldn't be picked up. I also noticed that people were running around the place, going through walls/tiles. Even though I know that wasn't cheating.

I knew they were just lagging alot. There should be a way of preventing players to suddenly end up in the walls/tiles. It's really creepy, and it always ends up with my good mood of playing CS2D to vanish.

Well I don't know if this is hacking. But it sure looks like it. A spectator from out of nothing came and killed me with AK-47. Also I noticed some crazy stuff on a server, it had M4A1's with a insane amount of ammo.

Also when will there be USGN Player ID's?

Well I had been hoping as I've worked on my newest (and probably last) map, de_TheBridge (working title, a total remake of de_bridge, view the Work-in-Progress here) that it might be able to be included as a default map in CS2D. But since you're limiting the filesize, I went and checked my unfinished full-quality version of the map image, and it's 20.0 MB uncompressed! And when by itself, if I package it in a RAR file, it's 9.55 MB! And I haven't even made the map or sprites or sounds yet!

Plus, as I've made it and realized how high-quality it is, I had planned on including multiple copies of the map image of varying quality levels, so that people with worse computer could get better frame rates. But I guess unless I can find some better compression options, there's no way I could "fit" this map, once finished, into the eventual CS2D Max download.
