FO3 GOTY(PC) DLC problems...
3 replies I have Fallout 3 for PC, and when I install it there are no problems. Then when I install the expansion pack I get error: "Failed to load game XLIVE not found" something similar to that. Does anyone know how to fix? And before you ask I did search the official forums and I do not want to email bethesda because they are never a big help. Yes I know what this is all about. To install the DLCs you need to have a particular DLL, specifically xlive.dll from the Games For Windows Live package from Microsoft found here:

This is also required when you patch to the latest version.
However,
You said GOTY in your post header. Now, the GOTY (Game of the Year) edition has all 5 DLCs already installed, so why are you trying to install DLCs into a game that already has them in? @Psytechnic: They are on a separate disk not installed by default. Oh and thanks.
