Enabling CFW, or Custom Firmware, on a PSP system is fully LEGAL. It is blocked by Sony as they do not want (obviously) users to see how many features are locked from them.

I used wololo's Patapon 2 demo exploit to get to the Half Byte (I think it is spelled like that) loader to access homebrew apps on OFW (Official Firmware). Trying to run a Quick Updater 5.03GEN-B I ran into error saying "Bad hardware!......... Couldn't run on Fat!" (or something like that) and prompting to the XMB screen. My problem is that I have a Slim and it is fully functional. Could anybody help me? I am running 6.20 OFW, maybe it is causing problems. Could anyone at least tell me when the 6.20 CFW will be out?
Thanks in advance!

I cant really follow you. I mean, you actually said its an exploit. And i would bet a month-loan from me that "exploiting or changing the software in any way" is NOT allowed in the copyrights or EULA of sony. So dont believe everything you read in the internet and think a little bit about it.

Here is a little part of the licence agreement...you actually agreed as you bought the PSP.

Sony has written
You may not lease, rent, sublicense, publish, modify, adapt, or translate any portion of the System Software. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the System Software, or create any derivative works, or otherwise attempt to create System Software source code from its object code. You may not (i) use any unauthorized, illegal, counterfeit, or modified hardware or software in connection with the System Software, including use of such tool to bypass, disable, or circumvent any encryption, security, or authentication mechanism for the PSP™ system; (ii) violate...

Please have a look at the bold text.
And afaik "To the fullest extent permitted by law" is a self-explaining sentence.
