Most people use Milkshape (cost money). But Blender is a good alternative. I also suggest Wings 3d (both free). You can also use sketchup for simple models. I will soon create a thread of how to get from .skp-.3ds

Well... You could pay money for THE milkshape program or you could PIRATE it, just make sure that you know how to keep the authorities at BAY otherwise you might be caught depending on wich country you live that could be a pretty big DOT on your life as most ORGanizations don't like piracy.
