Drice, i love painting textures and stuff.
I can help you with the textures or some skins, but i can't UV map, nor can i model.
If i am to skin, i will need a ready mapped image to be able to know what what to color

Do you want the project to be freeware (or open source) or do people have to pay for it? Because if yes (to the paying stuff), then there might be problems with copyright stuff...

the copyright thing i agree on but ill do as much as i can to make that work, and if it gets like i want to its going to be a game you need to pay for (5$).

sorry but this is never ever going to work. MMORPGs are very hard to program. you need very experienced programmers with perfect net programming knowledge to archieve this. furthermore you need a huge amount of content for an MMORPG which means that you need either a big team or some very motivated guys with much time for content creation. you will not find many people which do this for free. most will stop to work because they realize that the project is never going to be finished.
moreover you need servers to run an mmorpg. each server costs more than 50$ per month! how are you going to pay this?

even if you solve all these problems and create a nice mmorpg: Nintendo will not allow you to sell a game about Pokémon. they will instantly sue you probably.

you really should forget your idea. you're wasting your time (and the timer of others). start with something smaller!

i just got the feeling that germany is a poor country
50$ thats less then we pay for our 2 CSS servers.
this game wont work if: we dont get sponsors, donators.
it wont work if we dont get the required team.
it wont work if we dont get a green light by Nintendo.
i will contact Nintendo later and if they say:"NO WAY." this will be ended.
think about it:
if we get sponsors and stuff and get up servers (will be needed alot of servers in Asia). in Asia it will probably be sold as gold

I said MORE THAN 50$ (and that per server, not for two or more). good root servers in germany cost about 100 EURO which is even more than 150$. I don't know how much a good MMORPG server costs but it will be much more expensive probably.
However it's absurd to come to the conclusion that germany is a poor country because of this.

Nintendo will never give you green light. Im 100% sure about this.

Do you yourself have any experiences in the programming languages you posted or are you just looking to find slaves that you can boss around and reap all the profits at the end?

Also I really despise your conclusion that Germany is a poor country by the fact that their servers cost less. It's also noted that Gas in the United States is substantially lower than those in the European and even some Latin American countries, is it logical then to conclude that the United States is thus poorer than Haiti?

The dedicated servers here in the United States range from 30 dollars to 3000 a month. Do we then fall on both end of the wealth spectrum? Remember these servers are unmanaged and resource independent. There's no CPanel for you to automatically enable or disable controls for your server. In fact I find those people who would rather rent a managed game server than to host their own servers on a root machine lazy and have a lack of innovation as well as wasting money on an inflexible virtual machine.

Also the fact that you won't make this project open source, but expects people to work for free for you, urks me a substantial level. Count me, and any real programmers out...

Pss: Why would you want to mix C++ and C# together? This is like combining the CLR with unmanaged code, good luck with the garbage collection.

Yeah, I am sure Nitendo will give you a green light. I hope you have enough money to pay for the licence rights

nintendo would NEVER give him a "green light". and if he does this without asking he will get an accusal. and this with the server-costs: the prices goes up from 50¤ to astronomical highs. i give you a tip: starts with something easy like...erm...a mod for s2. and i've you really want to make a mmorpg then make a multiplayer-mod for s2. i think dc would give you approval to make this. when i think about it, dc already give the approval.

My post was full of sarcasm. I thought everyone would get that.

If he would release a game like that, Nintendo will sue him to death.

You are right but, why do people hacking pokémon without an license to pay? The people, who hacks pokémon, releases them. Nintendo knows that. Why should he become red light, when other people hack pokémon?
